ISO 15924

ISO 15924, Codes for the representation of names of scripts，为书写文字定义了两套编码。每组编码包括一个4字母编码和一个3位数字编码。

在标记语言（如HTML和XML）文件中，现在仍然使用ISO 639语言代码作为定义文字并选取外语应选用什么字体的用途； ISO 15924 还未在标记语言这方面使用。
